This Puja is a 3-day ritual consisting of 2 important rituals – Narayan Bali and Nag Bali. They are performed on the 1st day and 2nd day, respectively.
The ritual is performed for pleasing Lord Narayana for a living individual who has had an unnatural, untimely or abnormal death. Narayan Bali is done so that the soul of a person who has had an abnormal death can rest in peace, whereas Nag Bali is done for getting rid of the sin of killing a snake, especially a Cobra, which is worshipped in Hindu religion.
